Introducing House House House Activity!

This year we are organizing activities outside the party as a way to connect, engage and explore different aspects of dance music culture. Justine Chima will facilitate a Beginners level House Music Dance Class on March 18th, 9am - 10:30am.

As long as there has been House Music, there has been House dance styles. The dance style originated in the late 70’s and early 80’s from underground clubs in Chicago and New York.

House Dance is "influenced by several styles of movement including Tap, African dance, Latin dance, and martial arts. House Dance is about freedom, improvisation, and feeling the music." - Steezy Blog

Justine started dancing at a very young age but professionally in 2012. His major dance styles includes House dance, hip-hip, locking, popping, Krump and Afro fusion. With 8 years of teaching experience he has taught and worked with different dance studios and school in Nigeria and Egypt.

He participated with his family in the Maltina Dance all competition in 2014 where they emerged second runner-up. In 2016 he and his group won the K-POP World Dance Competition in Changwon, South Korea. He is a 2-time RAW Street Dance Battle Champion, Egypt Battle Of Elements Winner and too many other dance competitions and awards to mention.
